Glauco Bertagnin
VIOLINIST
He studied in his hometown Music Conservatory “Pollini” in Padova with M.° P. Juvarra, where he graduated magna cum laude. He also graduated with highest honors in Geneva, Switzerland, specializing with M.° C. Romano. He received important prizes in many different competitions and exhibitions.
He performed with many different music ensembles, from the smallest Duet Ensemble up to Strings Orchestras, the Rossini Quartet and Orchestras such as: the Cameristi Lombardi, the Castelfranco Veneto Orchestra, the Chamber Music Orchestra and the Stabile G. Donizetti of Bergamo, the International “A Benedetti Michelangeli" Festival of the Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza, the Sinfonietta Italiana, the Symphonic Orchestra “Il Suono e Il Tempo”.
Since 1980 he is the first violinist of the “I Solisti Veneti ” Ensemble, with which he performed for important Music Festivals in many important concert halls in cities like Salzburg, Edimburgh, the Bunka Kay Kan of Tokio, Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center of New York, the Teatro alla Scala, the Salle Pleyel of Paris and the Coliseo of Buenos Aires.
With this important Ensemble he also made many recordings (Estro Armonico di Vivaldi) often also as a soloist. He also made recordings for International Radios and Televisions. He used to teach violin at the Music Conservatory “A Vivaldi” of Novara and is now professor at the Music Conservatory “A Petrollo” of Vicenza.
He plays a XVIII Century Grancino violin.
