Anna Malvasio

soprano

Anna Malvasio is a soprano who graduated in singing from the "A. Pedrollo" Conservatory in Vicenza, under the guidance of Maestra Stella Silva. She furthered her training by attending the Master Classes of Maestro Maurizio Arena at the "B. Marcello" Conservatory in Venice. A versatile and internationally recognized artist, she has developed a vast repertoire that spans from chamber music to opera, operetta to Spanish zarzuela, as well as sacred music and musicals.

Throughout her career, she has performed key operatic roles, including Rosina in The Barber of Seville, Norina in Don Pasquale, Adina in L’elisir d’amore, Serpina in La serva padrona, Violetta in La Traviata, and Musetta in La Bohème. She has also excelled in the symphonic and chamber music repertoire, performing as a soloist in Carmina Burana by Orff, Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini, and Requiem by Mozart.

Since 2005, she has been a regular collaborator with the Fondazione Teatro La Fenice in Venice, where she has participated in prestigious productions. She has performed as the first soprano soloist in the Concerto Spirituale "De la Incarnazione del Verbo Divino" by G. F. Ghedini, conducted by Dimitri Kitaienko, and performed the Hymne "Herr meine bitten" by Mendelssohn under the direction of Claudio Marino Moretti. Among her most significant performances are Tebaldo in the Canzone del velo from Don Carlo by Verdi, alongside Anna Caterina Antonacci in the New Year's Concert conducted by Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Lolette in La Rondine by Puccini, conducted by Maestro Rizzo, and the Page in Rigoletto by Verdi under the baton of Myung-Whun Chung.

In parallel with her musical career, she has spent many years studying classical, modern, contemporary dance, lyrical jazz, hip hop, and funky, training with prominent masters such as P. Bucchieri, L. Ekson, M. Astolfi, D. Ziglioli, and L. Amitrano. Her passion for movement has led her to work as a choreographer for dance, theatre, musical theatre, opera, operetta, and Spanish zarzuela productions.

Creative and multifaceted, she has conceived, directed, and choreographed numerous performances, including Abram – Opera Rock, Diario di una donna, Bastiano e Bastiana, La serva padrona, West Side Story, Amour e Fatalité, Champagne and Love, Amore, protagonista d'Autore, and Amore, al di là del bene e del male. In 1998, she also starred in the theatrical production Le voci della Pace, directed by Carlo Rao.

Thanks to her extraordinary versatility and ability to combine singing, dance, and theatre, Anna Malvasio has established herself as a complete artist, capable of interpreting a wide range of genres with intensity and artistic sensitivity.
