He obtains an excellent Diploma in double bass in 1993, at the Conservatory of Venice, studying with Gianni Amadio. The same year he takes part to a Master Class by Klauss Stoll in Salzburg. Between 1994 and 1996 he studies chamber music with Rony Rogoff in Vicenza and baroque music with N. Reniero and G. Guglielmo. In 1997 he begins to study in München with Dorin Marc, who introduces him to the technique of the German bow. Between 1998 and 2001 he studies at the Nürnberg Musik Höchschule.
He is winner of many section leader auditions: the Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza, the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, the Orchestra Sinfonica “G. Verdi” of Milan and the Orchestra Giovanile Europea; in 1998 he wins the competition at the “Gran Teatro La Fenice” of Venice, where since then he is playing as section leader. Since 2000 he obtains successful achievements abroad: he wins the first prize at the International Competition “Lionswettbewerb für Streicher” of Nürnberg, and in the same year he receives a prize from the International Competition “M. Sperger” of Berlin; he is invited as section leader at the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and at the Claudio Abbado Mozart Orchestra; in 2002 he begins a collaboration with the Swiss radio Symphonic Orchestra, where he records several concerts. He is currently playing a 1830 Double Bass from Vienna.
